Intensive Outpatient Services for Adolescents
Our Commitment
At Madrona Recovery, we are dedicated to offering compassionate and developmentally appropriate outpatient treatment to adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 who are dealing with mental health and substance use issues. Our approach centers on understanding the unique challenges faced by young people and providing the necessary support throughout their recovery journey.
Mission
Our mission is to empower both youth and their families as they navigate the path to recovery together. We recognize that the healing process is most effective when families are actively involved, and we strive to foster a collaborative environment that encourages shared growth and resilience.
Vision
We envision a treatment experience that not only addresses the needs of adolescents but also equips parents with essential tools to support their children. By providing resources and guidance, we help families build a foundation for ongoing recovery and well-being.
Core Belief
We believe healing happens best in relationships, so our programs prioritize connection, trust, and a sense of belonging. Alongside evidence-based treatment, we intentionally create space for fun, creativity, and shared experiences, helping teens rediscover joy, confidence, and healthy peer connection in a substance-free environment.
S.T.A.R.S. Recovery Concept
Madrona Recovery’s outpatient program utilizes the S.T.A.R.S. framework—Safety, Tools, Action, Recovery, and Support—to guide adolescents on their journey to recovery.
- Safety: We prioritize emotional regulation and distress tolerance, helping youth learn to manage their feelings and navigate difficult emotions effectively.
- Tools: Participants develop cognitive skills and thought-challenging techniques, empowering them to change unhelpful thinking patterns that may contribute to their struggles.
- Action: Through life skills and future planning, we prepare young people for independence and success by equipping them with practical skills they can apply in real-life situations.
- Recovery: Our recovery skills and relapse prevention strategies form the foundation for enduring change, ensuring youth have the tools they need to maintain their recovery.
- Support: Building interpersonal and relationship skills helps youth develop healthy friendships and a supportive community, inspiring collaboration and mutual growth far beyond treatment.
We also offer an Alternative Peer Group (APG) offers fun activities that support youth and families in maintaining long-term recovery.
